Delhi HC Rejects Kejriwal’s Plea Against Arrest, He’ll Remain in Jail

New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Tuesday, rejected Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s petition challenging his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the alleged liquor policy scam. The High Court termed Kejriwal’s plea “not sustainable” in light of the ED’s claim that it has evidence to prove Kejriwal conspired to formulate the now-scrapped Delhi excise policy rule.

Kejriwal was arrested on March 21. The ED has termed the AAP chief as the scam’s “kingpin”. He will remain in Delhi’s Tihar Jail till April 15, under judicial custody, as per a Delhi Court’s order last week.
