Elderly Female Voter Dies of Sunstroke While Waiting in Queue in Nayagarh Dist

Nayagarh: An elderly woman reportedly passed away while waiting in the queues to cast her vote in the Bhapur block of Nayagarh district on Saturday.

She was identified as 65-year-old Kumudini Dalei from Patharpunji village in Nayagarh district. Although the exact cause of her death is still being investigated, it is suspected that she died of heatstroke.

According to reports, she suddenly became unconscious because of the intense heat, while she was waiting for her turn to vote at a polling booth. She was immediately shifted to the Khandapada Hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead.
