Excise Joint Commissioner on Odisha Vigilance Scanner, Raids at 10 Places

Bhubaneswar: Simultaneous raids were conducted by the officials of the Odisha Vigilance on Monday at properties linked to Rama Chandra Mishra, Joint Commissioner of Excise, Bhubaneswar, on allegations of possessing disproportionate assets.

A team of 10 DSPs, 15 Inspectors, and other supporting staff of the Vigilance Department were involved in these raids at 10 places in Bhubaneswar, Sonepur, Balangir and other locations across the state. These searches are being conducted as per search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.

Raids were also conducted at the residence of Mishra, located at Dharma Vihar, Khandagiri, Bhubaneswar.

The searches are still underway, and a further report is awaited.
