Bhubaneswar: Three persons from Odisha involved in extortion from trucks by posing as RTO and police personnel were arrested by Jharkhand police.
They were impersonating as the Sundargarh RTO and policemen to extort money from truck drivers traveling on the National Highway near Ambapani forest at the Odisha-Jharkhand border on Monday night. Later they repeated the same activity at Kendumunda in Birmitrapur area.
Suspecting foul play some truck drivers informed police.
The arrested persons were identified as Tutu Dehury, Praveen Pradhan of Angul district, and Prakash Gupta of Sundargarh district.
