Fake Caste Certificate Racket Busted in Bargarh; Sarpanch , RI Among 5 Arrested

Bargarh: Five persons, including a sarpanch and a revenue inspector (RI), were arrested in connection with the issue of fake caste certificates in Bhatli police station limits in Odisha’s Bargarh district.

The arrested persons included Sukuda RI Sandip Satapathy, Dumelpali sarpanch Manoranjan Dora, and three persons from Uttar Pradesh namely Veerpal Singh, Bablesh Kumar and Ravi Kant.

According to police sources, the three men from UP approached the sarpanch for fake residential and caste certificates in lieu of money. The sarpanch attested their forms and later the RI also verified it and issued a caste certificate to the trio from UP them.

Initially these three men from UP were nabbed by police. Interrogation of these men led to the arrest of the RI and the sarpanch.
