EAM Jaishankar holds talks with US Secretary of State Blinken & National Security Advisor Sullivan in Washington DC

New Delhi: External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar met US Secretary of State Antony Blinken at State Department in Washington. In a social media post, Dr Jaishankar said, a wide ranging discussion took place following up on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s June visit to US. They also exchanged notes on global developments. Both sides laid the groundwork of India US 22 meeting which will be happening very soon.

Dr Jaishankar began his Washington DC visit with a meeting with US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan. They recognized the tremendous progress in the India US bilateral relationship this year and discussed taking it forward.

The External Affairs Minister also had an open and productive conversation with Think Tanks in Washington DC. They discussed transformations underway around the world and India’s growing role.

Dr Jaishankar also met US Trade Representative Katherine Tai. They spoke about the Indo-US expanding trade and economic relationship and its broader significance.

The External Affairs Minister had discussion on India-US collaboration on critical and emerging tech and creating resilient supply chains at discussion convened by US India Strategic Partnership Forum. He expressed happiness that India is the major talking point in corporate boardrooms. He said India – US collaboration offers more possibilities with each passing day.

Dr Jaishankar also met Members of US Parliament Congress, Administration, business and think tank heads at India House. He said, the regular conversations keep India-US relationship strong.
