Amit Shah Fake Video: Delhi Police to Serve 2nd Notice to Telangana Congress Members

New Delhi: Delhi Police is likely to serve a second notice to Telangana Congress members regarding their involvement in sharing a fake video of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

The members, including Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, were summoned to appear before the Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations office on Wednesday but failed to do so.

An officer involved in the investigation stated that they will send the summons again to ensure compliance.

The summonses were issued under sections 91 and 160 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) to Reddy and four Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) members – Shiva Kumar Ambala, Asma Tasleem, Satish Manne, and Naveen Pettem.

According to police sources, individuals served notices under these sections can either appear physically or send a legal representative. Reddy’s lawyer appeared before the Investigating Officer on Wednesday, asserting his client’s innocence in creating or disseminating the doctored video of Shah’s speech.

About 22 individuals from various political parties in Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh also received notices to appear before the police.

The FIR was registered by the Special Cell of Delhi Police after a complaint from the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), under the Ministry of Home Affairs, regarding the doctored video.
