‘Insaaf March’ By Farmers On June 9 In Support Of Constable Who Slapped Kangana Ranaut

New Delhi: Multiple farmer unions are set to hold a protest rally in support of CISF constable Kulwinder Kaur, who allegedly slapped BJP MP-elect Kangana Ranaut at Chandigarh Airport. The “Insaaf (Justice) March” is scheduled for June 9 in Mohali, Punjab.

The rally aims to prevent undue action against Kaur and calls for a thorough investigation into the incident. Ranaut, a Bollywood actor and BJP MP-elect from Himachal Pradesh claimed she was slapped during a security check at the airport.

Kaur allegedly reacted to Ranaut’s controversial remarks about Punjabi women involved in the farmers’ protest, citing personal offence as her mother was among the protesters.

Prominent farmer outfits such as Samyukta Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha have expressed support for Kaur. Leaders like Jagjit Singh Dallewal and Sarwan Singh Pandher plan to meet Punjab’s Director General of Police, Gaurav Yadav, demanding a fair investigation and no injustice against Kaur.

Dallewal announced the “Insaaf March” to Mohali’s senior superintendent of police’s office, emphasizing their demand for justice for the constable.

Kaur’s suspension by the CISF and the formation of a probe panel to investigate the incident have further intensified the situation.

Kaur’s brother, Sher Singh, a farmer leader and the organization secretary of the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee, also backs the protest.
