Fire Breaks Out After Explosions at Chemical Factory in Thane

Mumbai: A major fire broke out after a series of explosions at a chemical factory in the MIDC complex in Dombivali town in Thane district of Maharashtra on Thursday.

The explosions rocked nearby houses and shattered glass panes. Panicked inhabitants rushed out onto the streets.

After the explosions, a huge fire erupted in the factory. Black cloud of smoke started to rise up in the air from the factory premises. Fire-tenders, water tankers and rescue teams rushed to the spot.

At least 20 persons were rescued from the spot. Unconfirmed reports claim that at least five persons were injured in this fire accident.
