6 Persons Including 3 Children Burnt Alive as Wedding Tent Catches Fire in Bihar

Patna: At least six persons, including three children, were charred to death when a fire broke out at a wedding tent in Bihar’s Darbhanga. Three cows also died in the fire accident that occurred on Thursday night.

The incident happened at around 11.15 pm on Thursday Alinagar area of Darbhanga.

The tent caught fire from sparks from the bursting of firecrackers. Several fire tenders brought the blaze under control after some time.

The recovered bodies were sent for post-mortem. It is also suspected that some inflammable materials inside the tent aggravated the fire.

The deceased were identified as Sunil Paswan (26), Lila Devi (23), Kanchan Devi (26), Siddhanth Kumar (4), Shashank Kumar (3) and Sakshi Kumari (5).

Darbhanga’s District Magistrate (DM) has ordered an inquiry to find the exact cause of the incident.
