Fire at Paralakhemundi Municipality Office Turns Crucial Documents to Ashses

Paralakhemundi: A major fire accident at the Paralakhemundi Municipality Office in Odisha’s Gajapati district on Sunday night is suspected have turned several crucial documents into ashes.

No one was injured in this fire as it occurred at late night when no one was there in the office. But important documents, including some related to the upcoming elections, were destroyed in the fire.

Fire Services personnel rushed to the spot and quenched the fire.

The exact cause of the fire is being investigated. But it is suspected that an electrical short circuit in the storeroom may be the reason behind the mishap.

Nirmala Sethi, Chairperson of Paralakhemundi Municipality, said that no one was injured in this fire accident as it occurred on Sunday night. According to her, the fire accident happened due to a short circuit and there was no foul play.
