Former BJP Mahila Morcha President Simantini Jena Resigns from Party

Bhubaneswar: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Simantini Jena, who also happens to be a former Odisha BJP Mahila Morcha president, resigned from the saffron party on Thursday.

She had also held the post of state secretary of the BJP in Odisha.

She sent her resignation letter to the state BJP president Manmohan Samal. She was with the BJP for last 27 years.

According to her the prevailing atmosphere in the party has become ‘suffocating’ which made it difficult for her to remain in the BJP any longer.

“Leaving BJP with a heavy heart,” she added.
