Rs 75 Lakh Unaccounted Cash Seized from 2 Passengers at Bhubaneswar Airport

Bhubaneswar: Unaccounted cash worth Rs 75 lakh was seized from the possession of two persons at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar. These two persons had landed in Bhubaneswar from New Delhi and Chennai.

These two yet to identified persons have been detained for interrogation.

According to reports, the cash was unearthed during the screening of the luggage of these passengers at the airport. Around Rs 50 lakh was seized from the bag of the passenger who arrived from Delhi. The bag of the man from Chennai contained Rs 25 lakh.

The Income Tax department has seized the money. The I-T officials are trying to ascertain the source of the cash as well as their destination in Odisha.
