First Session of New Odisha Assembly from Tuesday, Oath of MLAs on June 18-19, Speaker Election on June 20

Bhubaneswar: The newly elected MLAs of the Odisha Assembly will take oath on June 18 and June 19. The election for the Speaker of the Assembly will be held on June 20.

For this special three-day session, the first Assembly session after the formation of the new BJP government in Odisha, adequate security arrangements have been made.

The security arrangements were reviewed by the DGP of Odisha police Arun Sarangi, Twin City Police Commissioner Sanjeeb Panda and others on Monday.

At least 75 senior police personnel and eight platoon forces have been deployed to prevent any untoward incident during the oath-taking of the new MLAs.

Along with the police, anti-sabotage and anti-terrorist teams have also been deployed.

There will be a three-tier security arrangement involving – inner cordon, outer cordon and isolation cordon. A special team will be in charge of the security arrangements inside the Assembly.
