Fishermen Earn Rs 25 Lakh from Prize Catch of 17 Telia Fish

Bhubaneswar: A group of fishermen from the Paradip area of Odisha caught 17 telia fish which they sold for sold for Rs 25 lakh.

According to reports, these fishermen from the Paradip area caught these telia fish on Sunday night. The 17 fish caught in their net weighed more than three quintals in weight.

The fishermen took their prize catch to the auction area in Paradip and the 17 fish were auctioned off at Rs. 25 lakh, stated reports.

The intestines of the rare telia fish are used to manufacture drugs, so they are priced high. According to the fishermen, a catch of telia fish is rare and whoever catches these fish has a changed fortune with just one catch.
