Former Sarpanch Found Dead Under Mysterious Conditions in Angul Dist

Angul: The body of a former sarpanch, Bibhuti Bhushan Garnaik (62) was found under mysterious conditions outside his home in Jharpada police station limits in Odisha’s Angul district on Tuesday.

According to reports, the body of the deceased former sarpanch of the Jerang Dehuri Sahi panchayat bore bruise marks.

According to sources, Garnaik is a local BJD leader. He slept on the terrace of his on Monday night and his body was recovered with injuries on his head and legs on Tuesday morning.

Police suspect that he either died after falling from the roof or was pushed from the roof by someone. Police have launched an investigation to ascertain the reason behind his death.
