Palestinian militant organization Hamas expressed its willingness to release women and children hostages if Israel stops its airstrikes on Gaza, reported NBC News.
The NBC reports quoted a senior Hamas official, who said that the hostages could be released within the hour when Israel met its terms.
Several people both Israeli and foreign nationals were taken hostage during Hamas’s attack on Israel on October 7.
The terrorist group’s condition to release hostages came at a time when an explosion at a hospital in Gaza killed at least 500 people on Tuesday. Palestinian authorities blamed Israeli airstrikes for it, while Israel alleged it was Hamas rockets misfiring.
