‘Handler’ Of 4 ISIS Terrorists Nabbed In Gujarat Arrested in Sri Lanka

The handler of four Sri Lankan ISIS terrorists, who were nabbed in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad, was arrested by Sri Lankan Police Intelligence on Friday.

The 46-year-old terrorist identified as Osman Pushparaja Gerard, was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Colombo.

After the arrests of four ISIS suspects by the Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS), Sri Lanka launched a high-level investigation with the involvement of the police, the CID and the Terrorist Investigation Division (TID) and other military intelligence services.

Sri Lanka Police offered a cash reward of Sri Lankan rupees two million to any informant providing information about the terror suspects.

Sri Lanka Police have so far arrested six ISIS suspects, including the handler who was linked with the four arrested in India.

On May 19, the Gujarat ATS arrested four ISIS terror suspects who had arrived on an Indigo flight from Colombo to Chennai.
