IIT-JEE Aspirant Beaten to Death by Fellow Students in Kota

Kota: A 17-year-old student preparing for IIT-JEE was beaten to death in Indira Vihar area of Kota on Monday evening by a group of students also undergoing coaching for entrances.

The deceased was at a tea stall when he was attacked with iron rods and chains by the assailants. The deceased was identified as Satyaveer alias Rajveer alias Ronak, a resident of Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh. He was a student of class 11, and was preparing for IIT-JEE in a coaching institute in Kota.

Injured Satyaveer was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

After facing the attack, injured Satyaveer went to his room where his condition deteriorated later at night. He was then rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. According to police sources, around seven to eight coaching students are suspected to be involved in the fatal attack. The reason behind the attack is yet to be ascertained.

Some suspects have been detained for interrogation.
