Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu Dials PM Modi Amid War, PM Modi Reaffirms Support

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday engaged in a phone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict. PM Modi expressed India’s firm condemnation of terrorism in all its forms.

Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), PM Modi shared that he had discussed the ongoing situation with Netanyahu, pledging India’s unwavering support to Israel during this challenging period.

PM Modi also expressed his deep shock over the “terrorist attacks” in Israel and emphasized India’s solidarity with the nation.

The conflict, which began on October 7 due to a surprise attack by Hamas on Israel, has led to a tragic loss of life on both sides. Israel has reported over 900 casualties and 2,600 injuries, while Gaza has seen 704 fatalities, including 143 children and 105 women, with over 4,000 injuries, as per the Gaza Health Ministry.

Israel has announced gaining effective control in the south and “restored full control” over the border.
