Indian Driver Wins Rs 44 Cr UAE Lottery on New Year’s Eve

Munavar Fairoos, a private driver from India working in Al Ain, UAE, had a real happy new year as he won the jackpot prize of worth 20 million UAE Dirhams (around Rs 44 crore) at the Big Ticket Live draw on December 31.

Fairoos, who has been a regular lottery ticket buyer for the past five years, will share the prize money among 30 individuals who contributed to the purchase of the ticket.

Apart from Fairoos, 10 others from India, Palestine, Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia won cash prizes worth 100,000 UAE Dirhams.

On the same day, another Indian, Suthesh Kumar Kumaresan, an engineer for Etihad Airways was named the fourth weekly e-draw winner for December, with prize money of 1 million UAE Dirhams, which amounts to approximately Rs 22,668,500. resides in Abu Dhabi.
