Intoxicated Baba Commits Murder at Ashram in Puri, Accused Nabbed

Puri: A brawl on the premises of Gurukrupa Ashram at Lokanath Road under Baseli Sahi police station limits of Puri led to the brutal murder of an ashram inmate and left another critically injured.

The deceased was identified as Baba Arjun Das from West Bengal.

According to reports, the assailant was also an inmate of the same ashram named Baba Vishnu Das. In an intoxicated state he attacked Baba Arjun Das’ head with a wooden club.

The victim died on the spot. Another inmate of the ashram Baba Dayanidhi also faced Baba Vishnu Das’ wrath and sustained injuries in the brawl. He has been admitted to hospital.

Police have detained Baba Vishnu Das and launched an investigation into the matter.
