Jharkhand Ex-CM Champai Soren Meets Shah, To Join BJP on Aug 30

New Delhi: As a major shocker for the INDIA bloc ahead of the Jharkhand Assembly polls, former Jharkhand CM and JMM leader Champai Soren is expected to join the BJP on August 30.

Champai met Union Home Minister Amit Shah here on Monday. According to reports, he will join the BJP on Aug 30 along with some JMM MLAs.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who is in charge of Jharkhand, was with Champai, when he went to Shah’s residence.

Later Sarma wrote on X, “Former Chief Minister of Jharkhand and a distinguished Adivasi leader of our country Champai Soren met Home Minister Amit Shah a short while ago. He will officially join the BJP on August 30 in Ranchi.”
