J&K Terror Ambush Death Toll Rises to 5

Srinagar: Five Indian soldiers were martyred in the ambush of two Indian Army vehicles in Jammu & Kashmir’s Rajouri district. The death toll rose to five as one more soldier succumbed to his injuries late on Thursday.

Terrorists ambushed the vehicles transporting personnel of the Indian Army to an anti-terror operation site at a blind curve at Dhatyar Morh.

As per reports, it was the sixth such attack since October 2021 in Rajouri and Poonch districts. Thirty Army personnel including two captains have been martyred in these attacks.

In May, five commandos were killed in an IED blast triggered in Rajouri. The April, five personnel died when their truck was ambushed in Poonch.
