Kejriwal Skips 6th ED Summons, AAP Terms Summons as Illegal

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday skipped the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) sixth summons to appear before it for questioning in connection with the Delhi excise policy case.

In a statement, the AAP termed the summonses sent to Kejriwal as “illegal” and added that the issue was “now in court”.

“The ED itself approached the court. Instead of sending summons again and again, the ED should wait for the court’s decision,” the AAP statement said.

On February 14, the ED issued its sixth summons to Kejriwal, asking him to appear for questioning on February 19.

The AAP chief ahs till date skipped all the ED’s summonses alleging them to be “illegal” and “politically motivated”.

Earlier the ED issued summons to Kejriwal on February 2, January 18, January 3, December 22, 2023 and November 2, 2023.
