Kejriwal Skips ED’s 3rd Summon in Delhi Liquor Policy Case Terming it “Illegal”

New Delhi: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal decided not to appear before the ED for questioning on Wednesday in Delhi liquor policy case.

In a statement, the Aam Aadmi Partry (AAP) termed the Enforcement Directorate (ED) summons as illegal with an aim to arrest Kejriwal.

This was the third notice of ED to Kejriwal, who did not appear before the ED on two earlier summons for November 2 and December 21.

The Aam Aadmi Party alleged, “Why has the notice been sent right before elections? The notice is an attempt to stop Kejriwal from campaigning in elections.” the party alleged.

The AAP chief had been interrogated by the CBI in connection with the case in April 2023, but had not been made an accused by the agency.

Former Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia was arrested in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case in February 2023. AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh was taken into custody in the same case in October 2023.
