Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Voters Above 85 Yrs, Divyangs Can Vote from Home

New Delhi: In a historic decision, the Election Commission, for the first time has provided the facility to voters above 85 years and persons with 40% disabilities to vote from home. Added to it, ramps and wheelchairs for persons with disabilities will be provided at polling stations.

The schedule for the Lok Sabha polls is set to be announced by the Election Commission shortly. The term of the present Lok Sabha ends on June 16 and a new House has to be constituted before that. The term of the assemblies in Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and Odisha is coming to an end on various dates in June.
