Male & Female Labourer Die of Asphyxiation in Septic Tank of Angul Dist

Angul: A male and a female labourer engaged to clean a septic tank died of asphyxiation on Wednesday morning at Dhaurapali village under Kishorenagar police station limits.

The deceased were identified as Reena Mahar and Arta Mirdha.

According to eyewitnesses, both these labourers entered the septic tank of a house in the village on Wednesday morning to clean it. But they were fatally suffocated by the toxic gases inside the sewage tank.

Both were rushed to the local community health center in unconscious condition, where the doctors declared them brought dead.
