Man Arrested for Demanding Money for Subhadra Yojana Registration in Titilagarh

Titilagarh: A staff of a Common Service Centre (CSC) was arrested in Titilagarh in  Balangir district on Saturday for allegedly demanding money for processing application form of Subhadra Yojana applicants.

The accused identified as Akash Sahu of Manigaon village under the Titilagarh police station limits was arrested for allegedly demanding Rs 100 to Rs 130 from women for facilitating the registration for Subhadra Yojana. The registration for Subhadra Yojana is free of cost.

The Titilagarh BDO lodged a complaint with the police when the matter came to his notice. After conducting an investigation, police arrested Akash.

Police on Friday arrested three persons for allegedly charging money for application forms and registration under Subhadra Yojana in Bhubaneswar.
