Miscreants Loot Rs 5 Lakh from ATM in Talcher

Angul: Some unidentified miscreants looted cash worth around Rs 5 lakh from an ATM of the State Bank of India (SBI) near Ballahar Square of Talcher town in Angul district, late Sunday night.

According to sources, the miscreants used a gas cutter to break open the cash chamber of the ATM.

Preliminary police investigation hinted that this ATM heist was the handiwork of some history-sheeters with ample expertise in similar crime. It is suspected that some inter-state gang may be involved in this ATM loot.

According to the CCTV footage of the area, the miscreants escaped in a car after taking out the cash from the ATM.
