Miscreants Shoot Dead Bike-Borne Youth in Dhenkanal

Dhenkanal: A bike-borne youth was shot dead by two miscreants near Nuabag Sani temple under Hindol police station limits in Dhenkanal district on Monday evening.

The deceased was identified as Subas Sahu from Mahalunda village. According to eyewitnesses, the armed miscreants intercepted him and opened fire at him from close range.

Sahu was an employee of a finance company. Locals rescued injured Sahu and rushed him to the Hindol Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. , sources said.

Police have managed to nab one of the two miscreants involved in the murder. He is said to be from outside Odisha. A gun, live bullets, and a mobile phone have been recovered from the possession of the arrested person.

Police have formed a special team to track down the other accused.
