Much Married Kashmiri Fraudster With Terror Links Nabbed in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: A Kashmiri youth identified as Sayed Ishaan Bukhari alias Ishaan Bukhari, was arrested by Odisha STF for his links with anti-national elements.

The 37-year-old accused, from Peer Mohalla at Handwara in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir, was arrested at Neulpur in the Dharmasala area of Jajpur district.

It was found that Ishaan was in contact with suspicious elements in Kerala as well as some Pakistani nationals. He was wanted by Kashmir Police concerning a cheating and forgery case. A non-bailable warrant is also pending against him.

Around 100 documents including forged foreign medical degree certificates, affidavits, bonds, identity cards, ATM cards, blank cheques, Aadhaar cards and visiting cards were seized from his possession.

According to the STF, the arrested man was impersonating as neurology specialist, army doctor, officer in PMO, associate of high ranking NIA officials etc to con the gullible victims.

It was found that the accused has married 6-7 women from various parts of India including Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Odisha. He was having relations with several other women by posing as a doctor with foreign medical degrees.

He was booked under sections 419/ 420/ 465/ 467/ 468/ 471/ 120(B) of IPC r/w sections 66 C/66 of IT Act, 2000.
