Netaji’s Birthplace Celebrates His 127th Birth Anniversary

Cuttack: Cuttack city, the birthplace of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Odisha, his state of birth celebrated his 127th birth anniversary with pomp and glory on Tuesday.

People ranging from dignitaries, school children to common citizens reached Netaji’s parental house, Janki Nath Bhawan, in Cuttack to pay tributes to the great freedom fighter. This building has now been converted into a museum named after Subhash Bose. The portrait of Netaji on its premises was garlanded and floral tributes were paid at his statue.

From early morning, the Cuttack city reverberated with slogans of ‘Jai Hind’ and ‘Netaji Amar Rahe’.

Netaji Birthplace Museum Trust organized several programs to mark the birthday of Netaji. There was morning ‘Ram Dhun’, followed by floral tributes at statues of Netaji located in different parts of Cuttack. A blood donation camp was also organized on the day.
