Encounter in Boudh, Maoist Camp Destroyed by Security Forces

Boudh: An exchange of fire occurred between security forces and Maoists in the Nalikumpa jungle bordering Boudh and Kandhamal districts in Odisha leading to the destruction of a Maoist camp.

The security forces seized a huge cache of arms and explosives including IEDs from the busted camp of naxalites.

As per reports, security personnel involved in combing operations in the area stumbled upon this secret Maoist camp. The armed vagrants fired at the at security personnel which was retaliated leading to an exchange of fire at the spot that lasted for around an hour.

Unable to face the firing prowess of the security personnel, around 30 Maoists, who were at this camp preferred to escape taking advantage of the dense jungle.

On January 18, during a joint operation, personnel of the  Special Operations Group (SOG) and District Voluntary Force (DVF) busted a Maoist camp in the Budhakhol forest of the Boudh district.
