New case of Sexual Harassment, Stalking Registered Against Prajwal Revanna

Bengaluru: A fourth case was filed against Prajwal Revanna, who is in judicial custody after being arrested by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) on May 31. Revanna had earlier been booked in three cases of sexual assault. There are also charges of rape against him.

The recent case against Prajwal Revanna involves charges of sexual harassment, stalking, and criminal intimidation. This fresh case was registered at the office of the Crime Investigation Department (CID).

Former BJP MLA from Hassan, Preetham Gowda and two others were also named in the case. The case against Revanna was registered under Section 354 ABD of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and 66E of the Information Technology Act, 2000.

On Monday, a Bengaluru court remanded Revanna, who was arrested on charges of rape and sexual abuse against several women, to 14 days till July 8.

The cases of sexual abuse came to light after pen drives containing explicit videos allegedly involving Revanna came to the fore in Hassan, ahead of Lok Sabha polls there on April 26.

He was later suspended from the JD(S).
