Newly Elected Odisha BJP MPs Called to Delhi to Discuss the Name of Future CM

Bhubaneswar: The BJP fought and won the Assembly elections in Odisha without naming its Chief Minister candidate. Several names are doing the round as prospective CM candidate for the state.

At this juncture, all the 20 newly elected BJP Lok Sabha members were directed to reach Delhi and meet the top leadership of the party in New Delhi on Thursday evening.

The Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who was elected from the Sambalpur Lok Sabha constituency, is already in New Delhi. The rest newly elected MPs are to reach the national capital for the crucial meeting.

These MPs will discuss issues related to the formation of the new government in Odisha with the national leaders of the party. The central leadership of the BJP is likely to take the opinions of the newly elected party MPs on the issue.

The parliamentary board of BJP will meet to decide upon the BJP CM of Odisha after the central leaders the party to hold discussion with party MPs from the state.

BJP has won 20 of the 21 Lok Sabha seats and 78 Assembly seats in Odisha.
