Nursery Student Takes Handgun to School, Shoots Class 3 Student in Bihar School

Patna: A five-year-old nursery student took a handgun to his school on Wednesday and fired at a student of class 3, injuring him.

This shocking incident occurred at a school in the north Bihar district of Supaul. The nursery student reached the school with the handgun hidden in his bag.

According to police sources, the nursery student fired at a 10-year-old boy, who studies in the same school in Class 3. The bullet hit the arm of the class 3 student. The injured boy was immediately rushed to a hospital.

Police are investigating, how the child managed to get the firearm and carried it to the private school.

After this incident, the SP of Sapaul has asked schools across the district to ensure bag checking of all students on a regular basis.
