Odisha Begins New Assembly Formation Process Post Election Results

Bhubaneswar: The process to constitute the new Assembly in Odisha commenced on Thursday after the declaration of election results.

State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Nikunja Bihari Dhal met with Governor Raghubar Das at Raj Bhavan, presenting the necessary gazette notification.

Accompanied by representatives from the Election Commission of India (ECI) and senior officials, Dhal submitted both the ECI notification and the Odisha gazette notification listing the newly-elected MLAs to the Governor. This step is crucial for the formation of the new legislative assembly.

Governor Das extended his congratulations to the ECI, CEO, and the entire election apparatus for ensuring the elections were conducted in a free, fair, accessible, and peaceful manner.
