Odisha Experiences Coldest Night, G.Udaygiri Records Lowest of 4 Degrees Celsius

Bhubaneswar: Night temperature dipped to the lowest 4 degrees Celsius at G Udayagiri in Kandhamal district as winter chill shivered the whole of Odisha during last 24 hours.

According to the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre, 16

places in Odisha recorded temperature below 10 degree Celsius on Wednesday – Semiliguda in Koraput (5.7), Phulbani (6.5), Sundargarh’s Kirei (6.6), Koraput (7.6), Angul & Daringbadi (8), Rourkela (8.3), Keonjhar (8.4), Sundargarh (8.6), Bhawanipatna, Jharsuguda & Nabarangpur (9), Bhadrak’s Ranital (9.1), Sonepur (9.6) and Balangir 10.

The minimum temperature in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack was 12.4 and 12.8 degrees Celsius respectively.

It is forecast that there will be no major change in the night temperature in Odisha for a day or two.  The minimum temperature will fall 2-3 degrees Celsius from the normal at a few places in the state during the next 2 days. After that, there may be a rise in minimum temperature by 2-3 degrees Celsius in many places.
