Odisha Vigilance Finds 85 Plots worth Rs 2 Cr, Rs 11 Lakh Cash Owned by Chief Construction Engineer

Keonjhar: Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Friday conducted simultaneous raids on the properties linked to Pravas Kumar Pradhan, Chief Construction Engineer of Anandpur Barrage Division in Keonjhar district on allegations of amassing disproportionate assets.

The Vigilance officials unearthed 85 plots, Rs 11 lakh cash, around 218 grams of gold including one gold biscuit, and one five-storied building, a market complex allegedly owned by the engineer and his family members.

The unearthed assets in the name of Pradhan and his family members include:

One five-storied building with an area of approx. 12,500 sqft located at Jaleswar

One newly constructed RCC roofed building with boundary wall and market complex spread over approx 5650 sqft at Gobara Ghat, Jaleswar, Balasore

85 plots, of which 80 plots are in Jaleswar, 4 plots are in Delanga Puri, and one plot is in Sunakania, West Bengal. The above plots were purchased by Pradhan in different years in his name as well as in the name of his family members. The total registered sale deed value comes to over Rs. 2 crores.

Cash Rs 11,70,980

Gold approx. 218 grams including one gold biscuit

Bank, Postal, Insurance & other deposits are being ascertained

One Four Wheeler (Indica) and one two-wheeler (Honda Activa)

The searches are currently underway and more details in this regard are awaited.
