Over 1Kg Gold Donated to Sri Jagannath Temple by Anonymous Devotee

Puri: Some anonymous devotee donated 1 kg 800 milligrams gold to the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri on Tuesday.

According to the temple administration, 10 pieces of gold ingots each weighing approximately 100 gms were found in the ‘hundi’ (donation box) placed at the ‘Nata Mandap’ inside the temple premises. The gold is worth around d70 lakh rupees.

According to the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), this the highest amount of gold received as a donation by the temple in last few years.

Eight months back, around 750 grams gold was found in the hundi of the temple.
