Paramilitary Jawan Dies at Ayodhya Ram Mandir After ‘Accidentally’ Shooting Himself

Ayodhya: A jawan of the Uttar Pradesh Sashastra Seema Bal (SSF) paramilitary force died on Wednesday at the Ram Janmabhoomi temple complex in Ayodhya because of an accidental shooting incident.

The deceased jawan was identified as Shatrughan Vishwakarma, who was on security duty at the Ram Temple.

According to reports, this accidental shooting incident occurred late at night due to mishandling of his service weapon.

The other security personnel present at the spot rushed Vishwakarma to a local hospital after the shooting. He was referred to a trauma center, where doctors declared him dead.

In March 2024, a Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) commando was injured at the Ram Mandir complex in Ayodhya during an “accidental firing” while he was cleaning his weapon at his post.
