PCB Drafts Schedule for Champions Trophy 2025, Lahore to Host India vs Pak on March 1; BCCI Yet To Approve

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has submitted its draft schedule for the 2025 Champions Trophy, proposing the India-Pakistan clash for March 1 in Lahore.

The tournament will run from February 19 to March 9, with March 10 set as a reserve day for the final. Lahore will host seven matches, including all of India’s games, while Karachi and Rawalpindi will host the remaining fixtures.

According to reports, the PCB is awaiting approval from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the proposed schedule. Group A will feature India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and New Zealand, while Group B includes Australia, South Africa, England, and Afghanistan. The tournament’s opening match and semifinals are slated for Karachi and Rawalpindi, respectively, with the final in Lahore.

The PCB’s draft is reportedly supported by all ICC Champions Trophy participating countries, except the BCCI, which is consulting with the Indian government before confirming their participation.

The last major tournament hosted by Pakistan was the 2023 Asia Cup, held in a hybrid model with India’s matches in Sri Lanka.
