PM Modi to Visit South Africa to Attend BRICS Summit, Will Also Visit Greece

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Johannesburg in South Africa to attend the summit of the BRICS group of nations this month.

PM Modi will first travel to South Africa during August 22-24 and will attend the BRICS (Brazil-Russia-India-China-South Africa) Summit in Johannesburg. The visit is being closely watched in diplomatic circles as there is the possibility of a bilateral meeting between PM Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

From South Africa, PM Modi will travel to Greece on August 25. This will be the first visit to Athens by an Indian premier in 40 years.
