Legal Trouble Escalates for Prajwal Revanna in Sexual Assault Case

Bengaluru: JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna, son of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, faces escalating legal woes as a special court for MPs and MLAs has issued an arrest warrant against him in connection with a sexual assault case.

This development follows a case filed on Saturday, where his father HD Revanna is also implicated.

HD Revanna, currently out on bail after spending seven days in jail and four days in police custody for alleged kidnapping, is under scrutiny for multiple allegations of sexual assault lodged by three women.

The Interpol has also issued a blue corner notice against Prajwal Revanna, seeking information about his whereabouts and activities.

The troubles for Prajwal Revanna began when a large number of explicit videos allegedly showing him sexually assaulting women surfaced in the public domain. The Karnataka State Commission for Women chairperson, Nagalakshmi Chowdhary, recommended the constitution of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the alleged atrocities committed by Prajwal Revanna against women.

Prajwal Revanna was the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate from Hassan Lok Sabha constituency in the recently concluded general elections.
