Rail Traffic Disrupted as Huge Tree Fell on Tracks at Betanoti Railway Stn in Mayurbhanj Dist

Baripada: Rail traffic was disrupted when a Sal tree fell on two tracks at Betanoti railway station in Mayurbhanj district on Thursday.

The power cables above the railway tracks also snapped when the uprooted tree uprooted and fell them. Because of it, the power supply was snapped resulting in disruption of the train services.

Because of this sudden incident, several passengers were stranded.

Balasore-Bangiriposi MEMU train was halted at Krushnachandrapur railway station.

As per reports, Railway Department officials are currently trying to clear the track by cutting the tree.
