Rishabh Pant To Return To Action in IPL 2024, Confirms Sourav Ganguly

New Delhi: Star Indian wicketkeeper-batsman, Rishabh Pant, is set to return to action in the upcoming IPL season, according to Delhi Capital’s director of cricket, Sourav Ganguly. Pant, who had a horrific car accident in December last year, resulting in multiple injuries, is currently in rehab and recovering swiftly.

Providing an update on Pant’s condition, Ganguly assured reporters that the player is in good health and confirmed his participation in the next IPL season. Pant is currently on a three-day visit to discuss team-building strategies ahead of the IPL auctions scheduled for December 19 in Dubai.

During Pant’s absence last season, Australian opener David Warner led the Delhi Capitals, finishing second from the bottom. Ganguly mentioned that Pant won’t be actively practicing during this visit but is expected to resume by January 2024, gradually improving his form.

Highlighting the purpose of Pant’s visit, Ganguly emphasized the captain’s role in finalizing aspects related to the team for the upcoming auction. The last time Pant played for India was in their Test against Bangladesh in Mirpur in December of the previous year.
