Similipal Closed for Tourists Due to Incessant Rains & Dense Fog

Baripada: Because of the incessant rains and dense fog in the area, the Similipal National Park was closed for visitors on Thursday, informed authorities of the Similipal North Wildlife Division.

During the past few days, this region has experienced heavy rainfall because of a high-pressure system formed over Chhattisgarh. As per the meteorology department, Ramatirtha received the maximum rainfall (34.545 mm) followed by Barehipani (25.146 mm), Nawana (17.3 mm), Chahala (17.4 mm), Thakurmunda (3.81 mm), Kendumundi (20.32 mm), and Satkasia (19.09 mm).
