SIT Files 2,144-Page Chargesheet Against Prajwal Revanna, His  Father in Sex Scandal Case

Bengaluru: Karnataka’s Crime Investigation Department’s (CID) Special Investigation Team (SIT) filed a 2,144-page chargesheet against former JDS MP Prajwal Revanna, and his father H D Revanna before the Special People’s Court in Bengaluru.

The SIT was investigating four cases of sexual assault and harassment against the 33-year-old former MP and his father. As per the chargesheet, Revanna is accused of sexually assaulting a domestic helper of the family which is substantiated through spot inspection, biological, physical, scientific, mobile, digital, experts’ opinion and circumstantial evidence.

Revanna’s alleged sexual assaults came to the fore after a pen drive containing explicit videos filmed by Revanna was circulated ahead of the Lok Sabha elections for the Hassan constituency, where Revanna was contesting. But Revanna claimed that the “obscene videos” involving him were morphed.

The chargesheet also describes another case of sexual harassment of a domestic cook, her daughter by Prajwal Revanna, and his father, JDS MLA H D Revanna. The victim alleged that she was sexually harassed several times.

The JDS has suspended the former MP from the party. He is in jail since his arrest in the case on May 31. Three cases of sexual assault and one of sexual harassment have been registered against Revanna.
