SKY Solidifies Top Spot in ICC T20I Batter Rankings; Tilak Varma, Rinku Singh Make Notable Climbs

Dynamic India batter Suryakumar Yadav has solidified his position at the top of the ICC Men’s T20I Batter Rankings. Following an impressive half-century against South Africa in the second T20I, Yadav gained 10 rating points, reaching a total of 865. This puts him comfortably ahead of competitors like Mohammad Rizwan (787) and Aiden Markram (758), less than six months before the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

SKY, the reigning top-ranked T20I batter since the last World Cup, continues to exhibit exceptional form. With his current momentum, it seems likely that he will maintain this position through the upcoming tournament in the West Indies and USA.

Other Notable Changes:

South Africa’s Reeza Hendricks advanced to eighth place after his innings of 49 against India. Meanwhile, Tilak Varma (55th) and Rinku Singh (equal 59th) experienced notable climbs.

Bowling Dynamics:

With Ravi Bishnoi not playing the South Africa T20Is thus far, Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan has joined the top of the T20I bowling rankings. South Africa’s Tabraiz Shamsi rose to 10th place after an economical performance of 1/18.

India’s Kuldeep Yadav ascended five places to 32nd on the T20I bowling list, while Aiden Markram now sits second in the all-rounders’ rankings behind India’s Ravindra Jadeja.

Test Rankings:

The completion of the Bangladesh-New Zealand Test series prompted shifts in the rankings. Glenn Phillips, Player of the Match in the tied series, jumped to 55th in batters and 24th in all-rounders. Ajaz Patel rose seven places to 33rd among Test bowlers, while Mehidy Hasan (21st) and Nayeem Hasan (44th) made gains.
